This new Martin model is a great success. This ukulele is made from high-pressure laminate (HPL) wood, and offers enhanced resistance to climatic variations, making it the perfect travel companion. But it's the sound we love most of all - a rich, round sound with great clarity that transports you. This ukulele is simply excellent!

This new Lâg collection is surprising and striking! Acoustically, the sound is warm thanks to the solid red cedar top, which is usually found on higher-end models. Once plugged in, the mini Lâg preamp delivers perfectly clear, powerful and balanced sound reproduction. We didn't have any Lâg ukuleles in our catalogue yet, but this series finally won us over.

The solid mango wood used has a different appearance to that of the standard version, with an exotic look and variations in the wood grain that are reminiscent of a multitude of tiny caterpillars criss-crossing each other, which is very pleasing to admire. The warm, mellow mango tone is also very clear and precise, and the high notes are magnificently bright. Only a handful have arrived, so don't miss the chance to discover these new models. Note that Pono tenors and baritones are equipped with a double-action adjustable tension rod called the 'Trussrod'. This allows the neck curvature to be readjusted using the Allen key supplied. This is a very useful option for optimum playing comfort over time.
