However, the 110 series stands out thanks to its incredibly smooth satin finish, which contrasts with the glossy varnish typically found on other models in this series, and its solid Cuban mahogany construction, which produces a softer, more mellow and jazzy sound.  This series is also called ‘green’ in reference to a green border and rectangle around the ukulele and at the bottom of the body, as well as the very sturdy ‘aNueNue Green Leather Hardshell Case’. Cuban mahogany is a rare wood with impressive acoustic properties. Combined with their new lattice bracing, it develops a wide sound palette with mellow bass and precise, clear trebles. The mahogany is beautiful, enhanced by elegant black binding and aged metal tuning machines for a vintage feel.  The instrument is light, with a very low action for effortless playing. The sound is rich, with notes that are precise and deep when played melodically, and clear and balanced when played in chords.

It has a very high pitched sound, it is normally played with a very rhythmic and fast left hand strumming, often with a pick. It is easy to do solos in common tones like C or Am because the mi string sounds louder than the rest, just move this second string by continuing the fast strumming. The strings are fishing threads, on the Tahitian style, they all have the same diameter of 0.45 mm and on the 6-string hybrids, they are different: 0.70, 0.80 and 1 mm.  It was a while ago that, we were looking to enrich our catalog of Tahitian ukulele, we had the opportunity to meet Victor Joffre, founder of the brand ASONU, based in Chile. We were convinced by his knowledge of the instrument and his mastery of the manufacturing process, his ukuleles are a reference in the field and are world-famous.  These are magnificent ukuleles, with unique shapes, the size is between a concert and a tenor with a 415mm scale length, the sound is dynamic with a lot of projection.
