CASA OPINION

The Voyager is a superb Tenor ukulele with a solid spruce top and solid acacia back and sides, it produces a punchy sound, it also has a beautiful airy substain, and harmonic depths very pleasant in fingerpicking play. We're delighted to have been able to add this ukulele to our catalogue, following a customer request. It's a great discovery and perhaps our favourite of Flight's Royal series.

Production of Koaloha ukuleles began in 1995, handcrafted, one by one, in Honolulu, and although they have undergone improvements over time, they still sound with the same signature: a tone rich in harmony, warmth and luminosity.Perfectly balanced, these instruments are ideal for all types of music. From finger picking to strumming, from classical to jazz, the Hawaiian Koa series sounds wonderful. In the hands, it's very pleasant, extremely light and well balanced. The build quality is obvious, and you know you're playing a top-quality ukulele. The overall impression is one of absolute classicism, with a magnificent 5-point crown-shaped headstock, and a sublime rosette delightfully named "Musubi" ( snack popular in Hawaii). You'll also benefit from the "better than the weather" warranty, which means you can have your ukulele repaired without any time limit. This Royal Pikake series has the same features as the glossy models, but with a satin finish. They have an ansewome projection, powerful vibrancy and a magnificent substain.
Tahitian Ukulele 6 strings Asonu
€299.00

Tahitian Ukulele 6 strings Asonu PARTICULAR SIGNS   All Chilean Persea lingue  Bridge in cirari or pakio  Fluorocarbon strings  Piezo pick-up   Scale Length : 415 mm  16 frets   Satin finish  Gigbag included Made in Chile CASA OPINION The Tahitian style ukulele (6 strings) is very popular in the islands of southern Polynesia, such as Thaiti, Rapa Nui, Cook Island. It has a very high pitched sound, it is normally played with a very rhythmic and fast left hand strumming, often with a pick. It is easy to do solos in common tones like C or Am because the mi string sounds louder than the rest, just move this second string by continuing the fast strumming. The strings are fishing threads, on the Tahitian style, they all have the same diameter of 0.45 mm and on the 6-string hybrids, they are different: 0.70, 0.80 and 1 mm.  It was a while ago that, we were looking to enrich our catalog of Tahitian ukulele, we had the opportunity to meet Victor Joffre, founder of the brand ASONU, based in Chile. We were convinced by his knowledge of the instrument and his mastery of the manufacturing process, his ukuleles are a reference in the field and are world-famous.  These are magnificent ukuleles, with unique shapes, the size is between a concert and a tenor with a 415mm scale length, the sound is dynamic with a lot of projection. We are happy to offer you them at La Casa, do not hesitate to come and try them in our shop in Vitry-sur-Seine, 5 minutes from Paris.

Its name is inspired by a Hawaiian legend about the impossible love between a princess and a common man.   This is the contrast that KoAloha offers us with this ukulele, the vibrant, powerful sound of the koa, and the gentle warmth of the mango in the high notes.
