The koa produces a full and rich sound in the upper midrange, and does not lack punch and volume. The instrument is incredibly light for a tenor, the body is not very deep and pleasant to play for long hours.

Like its illustrious predecessor, it impresses with its remarkable sound range. Like many slim ukuleles, it offers a lively and dynamic response, but it also stands out for its roundness and warmth. These qualities are further enhanced by the low G string and the Aquila B-Blacks strings, which we find truly excellent.  Aesthetically, the instrument is appealing for its beauty and meticulous finish. The neck is slim with a flat profile, and despite its width of 35 cm, the strings are well spaced out and the most complex chords are easy to play. This ukulele is really made for playing arpeggios and picking. It's in the sound that the Tiny Tenor reveals all its splendour, with the mellowness of mango combined with a long sustain. The aim is clearly stated: to present instruments with a more vintage look and which stand out from their modern models with which they have revolutionized the ukulele market in recent years. However, the DNA of the manufacturer is well and truly there, and we find with delight, an excellent substain, a rich sound in volume with an incredible dynamic. A new fan-shaped bracing is fitted to this series, which brings out more of the harmonious midrange frequencies. It should also be noted that they are equipped with Gotoh UPT mechanics, which are extremely precise.  This RT5R model in Lemon Sunburst or Cherry Sunburst finish is the closest to the Moon Bird UT-200, with a solid "Swiss Moon" spruce top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides, all surrounded by the highest quality abalone and a brilliant varnish of the most beautiful effect. The sound is superbly crisp and clear, we hear the brightness of the spruce, softened by the darkness of the rosewood. There is a wonderful balance between the bass, midrange and treble.
