CASA OPINION

Experts rank these ukuleles among the best on the planet, and we've never had so much pleasure playing a solid koa ukulele.

Production of Koaloha ukuleles began in 1995, handcrafted, one by one, in Honolulu, and although they have undergone improvements over time, they still sound with the same signature: a tone rich in harmony, warmth and luminosity.

Perfectly balanced, these instruments are ideal for all types of music. From finger picking to strumming, from classical to jazz, the Hawaiian Koa series sounds wonderful.

In the hands, it's very pleasant, extremely light and well balanced. The build quality is obvious, and you know you're playing a top-quality ukulele.

The overall impression is one of absolute classicism, with a magnificent 5-point crown-shaped headstock and a sublime rosette deliciously named "Musubi" (snack popular in Hawaii).

You'll also benefit from the "better than the weather" warranty, which allows you to have your ukulele repaired without any time limit.

It was warmly recommended to us by a customer, and after a first contact with them, we can say that we were delighted by the quality of the commercial exchanges, the professionalism and the seriousness.  Their instruments are just like them, a unique design and an irreproachable quality of manufacture, with a particular attention to the smallest details. All their ukuleles have an additional soundhole, for a surround effect that adds incredible volume and clarity for the player. All at a price that defies all competition! The neck is slim with a flat profile, and despite its width of 35 cm, the strings are well spaced out and the most complex chords are easy to play. This ukulele is really made for playing arpeggios and picking. It's in the sound that the Tiny Tenor reveals all its splendour, with the mellowness of mango combined with a long sustain. The design of the Tiny Tenor, with a very high rosette that picks up string vibrations where the sound is richest, is profound. The basses, aided by the metal-spun low-g of the Pepe Romero UT-2 strings, are amazingly round yet precise. It's all a question of balance, and Romero Creations have found the recipe!  The mango wood often varies considerably from one model to another, so please feel free to ask for photos of the models in stock.

However, the DNA of the manufacturer is well and truly there, and we find with delight, an excellent substain, a rich sound in volume with an incredible dynamic.
