CASA OPINION

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Kala all solid wood model. The mahogany is beautiful, enhanced by elegant black binding and aged metal tuning machines for a vintage feel.

The instrument is light, with a very low action for effortless playing. The sound is rich, with notes that are precise and deep when played melodically, and clear and balanced when played in chords.

L.Luthier M6 EQ Tenor ukulele PARTICULAR SIGNS  Tenor  Electro  Solid mahogany top  Solid mahogany back & sides  Mahogany neck  Rosewood bridge & fingerboard  Bone nut & saddle  Tuners : Der Jung DJ326UAB-D6 Antique finish  LU Active Pick-up preamp   Satin finish  20 frets  Scale length : 431 mm  Nut width : 37mm  Maple binding  Savarez 150R strings  Premium gig-bag CASA OPINION This M6 is reminiscent of the excellent Le Maho model from the same brand, which has already delighted many musicians among our customers. Like the Le Maho, it is made entirely of solid mahogany and shares its main characteristics. The difference lies in the finish: here, satin varnish replaces the gloss finish. While the latter offers a more dynamic and sparkling sound, the satin finish provides a more mellow, warm and woody sound. The M6 EQ is also equipped with the same microphone system as the other L.Luthier models, renowned for its exceptional performance. Perfect for live performances, it reproduces the depth and realism of the sound with simply magnificent quality. As you can see, we are completely won over by this new model, as well as by this brand, which manages to offer a ukulele for less than 400€ while maintaining remarkable build quality and finish.

The aim is clearly stated: to present instruments with a more vintage look and which stand out from their modern models with which they have revolutionized the ukulele market in recent years. However, the DNA of the manufacturer is well and truly there, and we find with delight, an excellent substain, a rich sound in volume with an incredible dynamic. A new fan-shaped bracing is fitted to this series, which brings out more of the harmonious midrange frequencies. It should also be noted that they are equipped with Gotoh UPT mechanics, which are extremely precise.  This RT5R model in Lemon Sunburst or Cherry Sunburst finish is the closest to the Moon Bird UT-200, with a solid "Swiss Moon" spruce top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides, all surrounded by the highest quality abalone and a brilliant varnish of the most beautiful effect. The sound is superbly crisp and clear, we hear the brightness of the spruce, softened by the darkness of the rosewood. There is a wonderful balance between the bass, midrange and treble. Every note rings like a bell, there is no doubt, you have in your hands a high end instrument, hand made by the luthiers of aNueNue, who once again have done a wonderful job.

The specifications remain the same; only the item numbers have changed. The Kiwaya LT impresses with its warmth and subtlety of sound. It may not have dazzling projection, but it possesses an incredible harmonic richness and purity of sound, with every note precise, deep and haunting. The light weight, flat neck with low action gives this instrument exceptional playability. The satin finish is soft to the touch, and apart from decoration around the rosette and the gold Kiwaya logo screen-printed on the headstock, the clean lines hint at the elegance of its character. Like its illustrious predecessor, it impresses with its remarkable sound range. Like many slim ukuleles, it offers a lively and dynamic response, but it also stands out for its roundness and warmth. These qualities are further enhanced by the low G string and the Aquila B-Blacks strings, which we find truly excellent.  Aesthetically, the instrument is appealing for its beauty and meticulous finish.
