The solid mango wood used has a different appearance to that of the standard version, with an exotic look and variations in the wood grain that are reminiscent of a multitude of tiny caterpillars criss-crossing each other, which is very pleasing to admire. The warm, mellow mango tone is also very clear and precise, and the high notes are magnificently bright. Only a handful have arrived, so don't miss the chance to discover these new models. Note that Pono tenors and baritones are equipped with a double-action adjustable tension rod called the 'Trussrod'. This allows the neck curvature to be readjusted using the Allen key supplied.
