Kala All Solid Mahogany 8 strings Taro Patch Concert ukulele with Gigbag  PARTICULAR SIGNS   Concert 8 strings  Solid mahogany top  Solis mahogany back & sides  Rosewood fingerboard  Tuners : Graph Tech Ratio  Graph Tech nut & saddle   Nunes style rope rosette & binding "Nunes style"  Scale length : 343 mm  12 frets  Nut width : 35 mm  Strings : Savarez Fluorocarbon  Finish : Open Pore Semi-Gloss  Gig bag incl.  CASA OPINION  The Taro Patch is not like other 8-string ukuleles. Whilst many models feature doubled strings an octave apart, the Taro Patch pays homage to a very traditional style of Hawaiian ukulele and opts for a unison tuning. A distinctive feature that makes all the difference: the paired strings vibrate together, giving the instrument a full, surprisingly spacious sound, with that delightful sensation of built-in natural chorus. With its solid mahogany body, the Taro Patch delivers a warm, enveloping, round and woody tone that is deeply organic. Despite its 8-string construction, the Taro Patch retains a lightness and perfect balance, thanks in particular to the Graph Tech Ratio tuners – the lightest on the market – and a semi-gloss open-pore finish that allows the natural grain of the mahogany to breathe more freely, whilst avoiding adding weight to the instrument. A point of pride: the Taro Patch is fitted with French Savarez strings. Kala now places its trust firmly in Savarez (at last!) for its new generations of ukuleles, such as the Waterfall series. Its vintage-inspired inlays on the top and fingerboard are magnificent, and special mention must go to the taro plant on the headstock, crafted from iridescent mother-of-pearl with pink highlights. It’s an instrument that strikes a lovely balance between Hawaiian tradition and modern design

Kala KA-BG8 Baritone 8 strings PARTICULAR SIGNS  Baritone 8 strings  Mahogany top  Mahogany back & side  Mahogany neck  Rosewood bridge & fingerboard  Cream ABS binding  Trussrod  Aquila Super Nylgut© Baritone 8 strings   ABS composite nut & saddle   lNut width : 38,1 mm  Scale length :509 mm   total length : 768 mm  18 frets   Gloss finish  1 x strap button  CASA OPINION The Kala BG8 8-string baritone offers a unique and surprising sound. It retains all the warmth and depth of the baritone, whilst gaining extra punch thanks to the D and G strings in the upper octave. Strumming becomes more powerful and prominent, and when fingerpicking, the effect is striking: it feels just like playing an octave pedal under your fingers. An incredibly inspiring ukulele that immediately makes you want to play, explore scales and launch into solos. In terms of build quality, although this is an entry-level model for this type of instrument, the finish is meticulous and the instrument is well-set up for comfortable and fairly easy playing despite its 8 strings. For those seeking new sounds.
