Classic and timeless, the pineapple shape is in the purest Hawaiian tradition. After comparing it at length with the standard version (the KSM-00 soprano), we found them to be extremely similar, but we perceive more pep and projection in this model. As you know, each instrument is unique, and in any case, two ukuleles of the same model will never sound exactly the same, especially at this level of perfection. Koaloha KTM-10 Royal Pikake Solid Hawaiian Koa Tenor Ukulele (The Ukulele photographed is the one you will receive) PARTICULAR SIGNS   Tenor  Solid Hawaiian koa top  Solid Hawaiian koa back & sides  CNC shaped mahogany neck  Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Koaloha gear tuners  Tusq nut & saddle  Scale length : 432 mm  20 frets  Nut width : 37mm  Koaloha 5-pointed crown headstock  Paua Abalone headstock logo  Paua Abalone fret maker  Koaloha's "Musubi" sound hole  Satin finish  Hard-case include   Made in Hawaii  CASA OPINION The KoAloha KTM-10 RP Tenor Royal Pikake is a ukulele made in Hawaii. Crafted from solid koa, it offers excellent projection with well-defined notes and good dynamic range, equally at home with soft playing or more rhythmic accompaniment. This model differs notably from the KTM-00 Tenor in its satin finish (as opposed to the gloss finish on the KTM-00). This choice is not merely aesthetic: it also influences the sound. The KTM-10 RP produces a slightly more muted, softer and more subdued sound, whilst the KTM-00 offers greater brightness and projection in the treble range. The Royal Pikake design adds an elegant touch without being over the top, and the playing comfort remains true to KoAloha’s reputation: simple, effective and a pleasure to play every day. An interesting model for those looking for a koa tenor with a warm, natural sound and a slightly more understated approach than its gloss-finished counterpart.

Cuban mahogany is a rare wood with impressive acoustic properties. Combined with their new lattice bracing, it develops a wide sound palette with mellow bass and precise, clear trebles. It is a versatile instrument, with sublime arpeggio playing in line with what this fantastic manufacturer has been offering us for several years, and warm, dynamic strumming that subtly evokes vintage sounds.   aNueNue offers a model that is as classy in appearance as it is in sound, with a quality of craftsmanship that continues to surprise us.

It has it all, a fantastic sound, exceptional luthiery on high end woods: "Swiss Moon" spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides. Originating from Switzerland, the Moon spruce has a white and snowy appearance and a straight and tight wood grain. It is adaptable to different climates, making it one of the most durable and stable tone woods. Rosewood is a hard, oily wood with a dark red appearance.
