The Rebel Custom Shop Alchemist Tenor PARTICULAR SIGNS  Tenor  Solid mango & spruce top   Solid koa back & sides   Mahogany neck   Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Ebony head plate  Gotoh Tuning machines  TUSQ® nut & saddles  The Rebel strings Low-G  Nut width : 38,05 mm   Ebony armrest  19 frets  Gloss finish  Deluxe gig bag included  Made in Thailand  CASA OPINION The luthiers in Rebel's custom shop must have had free hand to express so much creativity in the creation of these two models we've just received, so different and innovative are they. For this Alchemist model, Rebel's luthiers studied how woods and bracing patterns affect sound, and proceeded by trial and error, over and over again, just as a chef looks for a new taste in every dish he prepares. The process of making this ukulele was all about reaching the invisible - the Rebel sound. The image of "alchemists" slowly dawned on them, as they played an important role in the development of science in the early modern era, slowly moving the world forward, and were, in a way, the very first group of "rebels" the world had ever known. "It's a tribute to those who came before us. Those who enriched human knowledge, enabling us to make new discoveries. That's why the official name of this model is Alchemist". Their efforts have not been in vain: the sound is sumptuous, rich and deep, a ukulele to listen to. The Rebel gig bag is included, but we offer a hard case for added protection.his model is a limited edition, produced in just a few copies, so don't wait too long.

This Arete model is a limited edition of 6, and we're delighted to be able to offer you one in our shop. Everything about it is singular, starting with the slightly pear-shaped body we've never seen before. The soundboard is a blend of mango and spalted mahogany with a simply sublime crescent-moon rosette contour. The sides are in mango and the back in Indian rosewood. The headstock is finely carved, and the Gotoh Stealth double-tone machine heads add even more character. This model is inspired by Greek philosophy. Arete" is a Greek concept meaning "excellence of every kind". The term can also refer to excellence in "moral virtue", the fulfillment of a goal or function: living up to one's potential. A person of arete is of maximum efficiency: he uses all his faculties - strength, bravery and spirit - to achieve concrete results. In the Homeric world, arete implies all the abilities and potentialities available to human beings. This breathtaking beauty doesn't detract from the incredible resonance and depth of sound this ukulele is capable of producing. A rich, consistent sound with plenty of roundness. The Rebel gig bag is included, but we offer a hard case for added protection. Don't hesitate to add this superb tenor to your collection. We guarantee you'll love it!

Koaloha KTM-00 Solid Hawaiian Koa Tenor Ukulele (real pictures) PARTICULAR SIGNS   Tenor  Solid Hawaiian koa top  Solid Hawaiian koa back & sides  CNC shaped mahogany neck  Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Koaloha gear tuners  Tusq nut & saddle  Salle length : 432 mm  20 frets  Nut width : 37mm  Koaloha 5-pointed crown headstock  Paua Abalone headstock logo  Paua Abalone fret maker  Koaloha's "Musubi" sound hole  Gloss finish  Hard-case include   Made in Hawaii  CASA OPINION Experts rank these ukuleles among the best on the planet, and we've never had so much pleasure playing a solid koa ukulele. Production of Koaloha ukuleles began in 1995, handcrafted, one by one, in Honolulu, and although they have undergone improvements over time, they still sound with the same signature: a tone rich in harmony, warmth and luminosity. Perfectly balanced, these instruments are ideal for all types of music. From finger picking to strumming, from classical to jazz, the Hawaiian Koa series sounds wonderful. In the hands, it's very pleasant, extremely light and well balanced. The build quality is obvious, and you know you're playing a top-quality ukulele. The overall impression is one of absolute classicism, with a magnificent 5-point crown-shaped headstock and a sublime rosette deliciously named "Musubi" (snack popular in Hawaii). You'll also benefit from the "better than the weather" warranty, which allows you to have your ukulele repaired without any time limit.

Romero Creations Grand Tenor Koa PARTICULARS SIGNS  Tenor   Solid Hawaiien koa top   Solis Hawaiien koa back & sides  Mahogany neck  Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Designed by Pepe Romero  Bone nut & saddle  Nut width: 38mm  Strings: Pepe Romero UT2 with polished won low-G  Abalone rosette  High gloss finish  Scale length : 432mm / 17 frets  Made in Vietnam  Softcase included CASA OPINION  This Grand Tenor is first of all exceptionally beautiful (the model taken in the picture will be the one sent). The size of the body is bigger than a standard tenor and offers more volume, resonance and sustain, which is quite logical.  When you play this Grand Tenor, what is striking is the thinness of the neck and the flat profile, and with its width of 38mm, we have rarely played on a ukulele so pleasant and easy.  The sound is obviously powerful, round, and with a huge sustain, but it keeps a perfect balance of frequencies and each string and each fret will offer you a delicious harmony  For its touch, for its sound, for its beauty, it's an instrument that is worth every single euro invested, it's an instrument that we keep, and that gives us the means to surpass ourselves.

Look at this top, it is sublime. The concept of the Tiny Tenor is to give you the same pitch and playability of a tenor ukulele but in ultra compact proportions, thanks to a reduced headstock, body design and bridge placement. The neck is thin with a flat profile, despite its width of 35 cm the strings are well spaced and the most complex chords are played easily, this ukulele is really made for a play in arpeggios and picking. It is in the sound that the Tiny Tenor reveals all its splendour, the mellowness of the mango tree is associated with a long and full substain, and offers an open and rich sound with a lot of amplitude. The bass, aided by the metal-spun low-g of the Pepe Romero UT-200 strings, is amazingly round and yet precise. Very highly recommended

The aim is clearly stated: to present instruments with a more vintage look and which stand out from their modern models with which they have revolutionized the ukulele market in recent years. However, the DNA of the manufacturer is well and truly there, and we find with delight, an excellent substain, a rich sound in volume with an incredible dynamic. A new fan-shaped baffle equips this series, which brings out the midrange frequencies full of harmonies, and it should also be noted that they are equipped with Gotoh UPT mechanics, which are extremely precise.  The Singer RT1M-TS is made entirely of solid mahogany, with a subtle tobacco sunburst finish that offers a nice brown/red tone gradation. It's the one in the series with the least amount of frills, but the essentials are there. We have the natural warmth of mahogany but also lightness and shine. It develops quite a lot of volume when you strum the strings with a lot of attack but also knows how to be reactive and dynamic in a very soft play. It is versatile and comfortable in all registers. What more can I say? Except to invite you to come and try it in our shop in Vitry-sur-Seine, located 50 meters from the RER C station.
