The woods selected are remarkable, and the contrasts in the back are magnificent. The value for money is breathtaking, and this series seems to be spared the minor cosmetic and finishing flaws sometimes found on these Chinese-made ukuleles. The Voyager is a wonderful discovery, and surely our favourite of Flight's Royal series, so it's easily earned its place in our catalogue!

However, the 110 series stands out thanks to its incredibly smooth satin finish, which contrasts with the glossy varnish typically found on other models in this series, and its solid Cuban mahogany construction, which produces a softer, more mellow and jazzy sound.  This series is also called ‘green’ in reference to a green border and rectangle around the ukulele and at the bottom of the body, as well as the very sturdy ‘aNueNue Green Leather Hardshell Case’. Whilst many models feature doubled strings an octave apart, the Taro Patch pays homage to a very traditional style of Hawaiian ukulele and opts for a unison tuning. A distinctive feature that makes all the difference: the paired strings vibrate together, giving the instrument a full, surprisingly spacious sound, with that delightful sensation of built-in natural chorus. With its solid mahogany body, the Taro Patch delivers a warm, enveloping, round and woody tone that is deeply organic.
