CASA OPINION

This new Feather series incorporates the iconic features of the Bird series, including a slotted headstock and a cutaway that facilitates access to the high notes.

It stands out for its major innovations, starting with its solid double top: a superb layer of sapele wood, combined with an inner cedar top that offers exceptional vibrational qualities. This unique design crosses the wood grain in different directions, offering remarkable stability, great flexibility, and optimal projection.

The sound is rich and nuanced: precise, brilliant highs; warm, expressive mids; and deep, perfectly defined lows, always balanced.

The bracing features a lattice structure, inspired by high-end classical guitars, optimizing resonance, dynamics, and responsiveness to playing.

The sustain is generous, the volume naturally full, and the response immediate: the sound blossoms at the slightest touch.

The back and sides, crafted from solid Taiwanese koa wood—carefully selected for their beauty and acoustic properties—add warmth, depth, and harmonic complexity, while contributing to a perfectly balanced overall resonance.

It has a very high pitched sound, it is normally played with a very rhythmic and fast left hand strumming, often with a pick. It is easy to do solos in common tones like C or Am because the mi string sounds louder than the rest, just move this second string by continuing the fast strumming. The strings are fishing threads, on the Tahitian style, they all have the same diameter of 0.45 mm and on the 6-string hybrids, they are different: 0.70, 0.80 and 1 mm.  It was a while ago that, we were looking to enrich our catalog of Tahitian ukulele, we had the opportunity to meet Victor Joffre, founder of the brand ASONU, based in Chile. We were convinced by his knowledge of the instrument and his mastery of the manufacturing process, his ukuleles are a reference in the field and are world-famous.  These are magnificent ukuleles, with unique shapes, the size is between a concert and a tenor with a 415mm scale length, the sound is dynamic with a lot of projection. Originating from Switzerland, the Moon spruce has a white and snowy appearance and a straight and tight wood grain. It is adaptable to different climates, making it one of the most durable and stable tone woods. Rosewood is a hard, oily wood with a dark red appearance. It produces a deep bass, and a very harmonic treble.  These woods are solid and have been naturally air-dried for many years before being put into production.
