The sound offers warm mids, deep lows and crystal clear highs and allows for greater versatility in playing, regardless of style or genre. What is also striking is the dynamic range of this instrument, the notes are clear and full even at very low volumes, which is perfect for fingerstyle playing.  Note that the series has evolved and now offers a full headstock with very reliable Gotoh Planetary tuners, as on the UT3K or UT200 models, which is more convenient to install the strings in my opinion.

The Iris is at least as good as the famous premium model from which it was loosely based.

It is true that the massive mango tree is excentric. There is also something modern about these ukuleles, the geometric and cubic shapes on the fingerboard and on the logo are certainly part of it. However, once in hand the sound is smooth and creamy, they sing traditionally well and are easy to learn thanks to an exceptional playability. The Rebel Ukulele brings a particular care to the manufacturing, and all the models that we received are always extremely well finished. We like the "square" profile of the neck, the action is very low, thanks to the "zero" square, the chords and notes sound easy, it's a pleasure to play for a long time. The intonation is perfect on the whole neck, and it remains perfectly tuned, The unplugged sound is silent, but audible, which allows a night play, and once plugged in, the piezo Shadow mic comes out perfectly.
