These are the oldest trees in existence today, and Ohana has been working with responsible local growers since 2011 to source materials for their Redwood Limited Edition series. Redwood has long been used to make acoustic instruments. It has a warm, rich tone that tends to project a little more than cedar. The combination with rosewood is particularly pleasing to the ear, providing warmth and substance, and from an aesthetic point of view the two woods are a magnificent color combination.

These ukuleles are made in Java, Indonesia, and benefit from the expertise of the Ko'olau/Pono workshops, true pioneers of the ukulele in Hawaii.
