CASA OPINION

It's hard to make a better tenor than this ukulele! It has it all, a fantastic sound, exceptional luthiery on high end woods: "Swiss Moon" spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides.

Originating from Switzerland, the Moon spruce has a white and snowy appearance and a straight and tight wood grain. It is adaptable to different climates, making it one of the most durable and stable tone woods. Rosewood is a hard, oily wood with a dark red appearance. It produces a deep bass, and a very harmonic treble.

These woods are solid and have been naturally air-dried for many years before being put into production. We are very happy to offer you this very rare model in France, if you are looking for a high end tenor ukulele, seriously put an option on this model, you can even come and try it in our store in Vitry-sur-Seine, 5 minutes from Paris.

Koaloha KTM-10 Royal Pikake Solid Hawaiian Koa Tenor Ukulele (The Ukulele photographed is the one you will receive) PARTICULAR SIGNS   Tenor  Solid Hawaiian koa top  Solid Hawaiian koa back & sides  CNC shaped mahogany neck  Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Koaloha gear tuners  Tusq nut & saddle  Scale length : 432 mm  20 frets  Nut width : 37mm  Koaloha 5-pointed crown headstock  Paua Abalone headstock logo  Paua Abalone fret maker  Koaloha's "Musubi" sound hole  Satin finish  Hard-case include   Made in Hawaii  CASA OPINION The KoAloha KTM-10 RP Tenor Royal Pikake is a ukulele made in Hawaii. Crafted from solid koa, it offers excellent projection with well-defined notes and good dynamic range, equally at home with soft playing or more rhythmic accompaniment. This model differs notably from the KTM-00 Tenor in its satin finish (as opposed to the gloss finish on the KTM-00). This choice is not merely aesthetic: it also influences the sound. The KTM-10 RP produces a slightly more muted, softer and more subdued sound, whilst the KTM-00 offers greater brightness and projection in the treble range. The Royal Pikake design adds an elegant touch without being over the top, and the playing comfort remains true to KoAloha’s reputation: simple, effective and a pleasure to play every day. An interesting model for those looking for a koa tenor with a warm, natural sound and a slightly more understated approach than its gloss-finished counterpart.
