Famous FC-5G Concert Ukulele PARTICULAR SIGNS   Format concert  Layered Hawaiian koa body  Mahogany neck  Walnut fingerboard  Tuner : Gotoh geared  ABS resin nut & saddle  Scale length : 380 mm  17 frets  Famous Aranjuez nylon strings  Weight : 477g  gloss finish  Made in Japan CASA OPINION  The “Eco” series, known as “Famous” (in Japan), is KIWAYA's oldest brand since 1955, and also the best-selling series in Japan. Previously reserved for the Japanese market, we received these models in Europe under the name Kiwaya and the designation “eco series.” In order to harmonize their offering, they have now decided to distribute the “eco series” in France and Europe under the name “Famous.”  Apart from the label, nothing has changed—it's still a Kiwaya made in Japan!  The instrument is made of laminated Hawaiian Koa, and offers exceptional acoustic performance with impressive volume, extremely well balanced. The neck profile is flat and easy to grip. The Arajuez strings installed on top are soft, offering a pleasant touch and a warm, mellow tone.  Kiwaya has a long history as a ukulele manufacturer, which makes this Eco series different from and above other ukuleles in the same price range.

Different woods are used for this model: solid African mahogany for the back and sides, and solid Sitka spruce for the top. Although the aNueNue "sound" is still present, with magnificent resonances and a long sustain, this new combination of wood species also offers powerful bass projection. This makes it one of the brand's most versatile models, providing incredibly melodious fingerpicking sensations as well as presence and strumming support. The 100 series is definitely a welcome addition to the ran

Now also available in a classic concert scale, the solid spruce paired with that one-of-a-kind pear shape will make you say “Viva la Vita!”

Kiwaya KPC-1K Solid Hawaiian Koa Concert Ukulele - Strummer serie PARTICULAR SIGNS   Concert  All solid Hawaiian koa  African mahogany neck  Rosewood bridge & fingerboard   Gotoh geared tuners  Bone nut & saddle  Scale length : 380 mm  Total length : 615 mm  Nut width: 38 mm  18 frets  Kiwaya K-BM fluorocarbon strings  Weight : 471 g  Gloss finish  Strap button  No gig bag  Made in Japan CASA OPINION The ‘Strummer’ series are more modern designs from Kiwaya, featuring a wide neck with an ultra-flat profile and a wide, shallow body for fast response and comfortable sustain.   This series benefits from the exacting standards of Japanese-made Kiwaya ukuleles, and is at the upper end of the Kiwaya solid wood ukulele range.  Demanding, high-precision craftsmanship gives these instruments remarkable finishes and a wonderfully classy look. These solid Hawaiian koa models are harmonically rich, with plenty of body and consistency in the sound, as well as plenty of brilliance and, at times, chime-like resonance. This makes them a versatile instrument, rooted in tradition yet resolutely modern.

ANueNue UC1K All Solid AA Grade Koa Concert Ukulele W/Case (real pictures Model #AM05731) PARTICULAR SIGNS  Concert  Solid AA Grade Hawaiian koa body  Mahogany neck  Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Koa headstock  Buffalo bone nut and saddle  Rosewood binding  Gotoh planetary tuning machines  Gloss finish   20 frets   Nut width : 35mm  aNueNue Black Water strings  Blue hard case CASA OPINION This Bird series is already a cult and has put aNueNue among the best ukulele manufacturers in the world, thanks to the cutaway shape that allows access to the highs without compromising the sound volume of the instrument. The sound offers warm mids, deep lows and crystal clear highs and allows for greater versatility in playing, regardless of style or genre. What is also striking is the dynamic range of this instrument, the notes are clear and full even at very low volumes, which is perfect for fingerstyle playing.  Note that the series has evolved and now offers a full headstock with very reliable Gotoh Planetary tuners, as on the UT3K or UT200 models, which is more convenient to install the strings in my opinion.
