Previously reserved for the Japanese market, we received these models in Europe under the name Kiwaya and the designation “eco series.” In order to harmonize their offering, they have now decided to distribute the “eco series” in France and Europe under the name “Famous.”  Apart from the label, nothing has changed—it's still a Kiwaya made in Japan!  The instrument is made of laminated Hawaiian Koa, and offers exceptional acoustic performance with impressive volume, extremely well balanced. The solid spruce top tempered by the laminated mahogany back and sides creates a sound that is not only bright and punchy, but also rounded with warmth.  A flat profile neck, compensated saddle for accurate intonation, fluorocarbon strings and a deluxe bag. The Iris is at least as good as the famous premium model from which it was loosely based.
