CASA OPINION

High-quality craftsmanship, exceptional lutherie. African mahogany is splendid, offering rich harmonic resonance combined with remarkable clarity and precision. The concert size provides a more centered sound that resonates like a music box. This sound definition comes into its own in melodic fingerstyle playing.

aNueNue UC110 Solid Cuban mahogany Concert ukulele PARTICULAR SIGNS   Concert   Solid Cuban mahogany top  Solid Cuban mahogany back & sides   Mahogany neck   Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Tuners : Gotoh UPT  Buffalo bone nut & saddle   Nut width : 37 mm  aNueNue Green Planet strings  20 frets   Spalted maple rosette  Spalted maple binding  Smooth satin finish  aNueNue Green Leather Hardshell Case CASA OPINION Like the other models in the Bird series, this ukulele features a cutaway and a moon-shaped soundhole. However, the 110 series stands out thanks to its incredibly smooth satin finish, which contrasts with the glossy varnish typically found on other models in this series, and its solid Cuban mahogany construction, which produces a softer, more mellow and jazzy sound.  This series is also called ‘green’ in reference to a green border and rectangle around the ukulele and at the bottom of the body, as well as the very sturdy ‘aNueNue Green Leather Hardshell Case’. Cuban mahogany is a rare wood with impressive acoustic properties. Combined with their new lattice bracing, it develops a wide sound palette with mellow bass and precise, clear trebles. It is a versatile instrument, with sublime arpeggio playing in line with what this fantastic manufacturer has been offering us for several years, and warm, dynamic strumming that subtly evokes vintage sounds.   aNueNue offers a model that is as classy in appearance as it is in sound, with a quality of craftsmanship that continues to surprise us.

Its name is inspired by a Hawaiian legend about the impossible love between a princess and a common man.   This is the contrast that KoAloha offers us with this ukulele, the vibrant, powerful sound of the koa, and the gentle warmth of the mango in the high notes.
