Production of Koaloha ukuleles began in 1995, handcrafted, one by one, in Honolulu, and although they have undergone improvements over time, they still sound with the same signature: a tone rich in harmony, warmth and luminosity. Perfectly balanced, these instruments are ideal for all types of music. From finger picking to strumming, from classical to jazz, the Hawaiian Koa series sounds wonderful. In the hands, it's very pleasant, extremely light and well balanced. The build quality is obvious, and you know you're playing a top-quality ukulele. The overall impression is one of absolute classicism, with a magnificent 5-point crown-shaped headstock and a sublime rosette deliciously named "Musubi" (snack popular in Hawaii). Kiwaya MV-3SF (KTS-7f) Soprano

Kiwaya Artist série MV-3SF Solid Mahogany ukelele soprano PARTICULAR SIGNS  Soprano  Solid Fijian mahogany  Mahogany neck  Rosewood bridge & fingerboard  Gotoh UPT tuning heads  Bone nuts  Scale length : 343 mm  12 frets  Nut width : 36mm  Weight : 334g  Matt finish   Made in Japan CASA OPINION The Artist series now features item numbers that are unified with the Japanese domestic market. The specifications remain the same; only the item numbers have changed. This ukulele is a beautiful tribute to vintage Martin ukuleles! The wood grain of the Fidji mahogany is splendid, the whiskers on the bottom of the body and the double purfling on the fingerboard contribute to the natural elegance of this model. In rhythmic and nervous playing the chords will keep their clarity and in fingerpicking each note will sound like crystal. This is an instrument that approaches perfection, and one that you want to keep for a long time.

Previously reserved for the Japanese market, we received these models in Europe under the name Kiwaya and the designation “eco series.” In order to harmonize their offering, they have now decided to distribute the “eco series” in France and Europe under the name “Famous.”  Apart from the label, nothing has changed—it's still a Kiwaya made in Japan!  The body of the instrument is made of "Layered tonewood", and offers exceptional acoustic performance with an impressive, extremely well-balanced volume. Its light weight and extremely precise tuning make this ukulele an instrument with addictive playability. Kiwaya has a long history as a ukulele manufacturer, which makes this Eco series different from and above other ukuleles in the same price range.

Koaloha KSM-01 Solid Hawaiian Koa Soprano Ukulele (real pictures) PARTICULAR SIGNS   Pineapple soprano  Solid Hawaiian koa top  Solid Hawaiian koa back & sides  CNC shaped mahogany neck  Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Koaloha gear tuners  Tusq nut & saddle   16 frets  Nut width : 37mm  Koaloha 5-pointed crown headstock  Paua Abalone headstock logo  Paua Abalone fret maker  Koaloha's "Musubi" sound hole  Gloss finish  Hard-case include   Made in Hawaii  CASA OPINION This particularly sublime model (the one that will be shipped) features magnificent koa waves, with lots of contrast between light and dark, giving it a lot of character. Classic and timeless, the pineapple shape is in the purest Hawaiian tradition. After comparing it at length with the standard version (the KSM-00 soprano), we found them to be extremely similar, but we perceive more pep and projection in this model. As you know, each instrument is unique, and in any case, two ukuleles of the same model will never sound exactly the same, especially at this level of perfection. A good reason to come visit us :) Also, the sound is extraordinary, rich, deep, and bright. We are thrilled, and you will be too. You also benefit from the “better than the weather” warranty, which allows you to have your ukulele repaired if necessary, with no time limit.

(We...it's the sound!), so simple and uncluttered are the construction and design that focus on the essentials: a rich, deep and balanced sound. Mahogany has been used to make ukuleles for over a century. It offers warm, mellow tones, and may not be suitable when you want a bright, sharp sound, but so beautiful in "jazzy" tones. These ukuleles are made in Java, Indonesia, and benefit from the expertise of the Ko'olau/Pono workshops, true pioneers of the ukulele in Hawaii. We've had the pleasure of talking to these enthusiasts and are delighted to offer you their instruments in our shop.
