The least we can say is that they both live up to our expectations. Don't let the simple design of the WUS-4 fool you into thinking it's an ordinary laminated ukulele. The WUS-4 is built in a traditional style from premium koa laminate imported from Hawaii. The D-shaped neck profile is slimmer than what we are used to from Flight and the headstock is slightly wider (36mm). Combined with a precise tuning, with a very low action, the WUS-4 has exceptional playability. The sound of the koa is naturally open, balanced and brilliant, the WUS-4 has nothing to envy to some more expensive ukuleles and more prestigious brands, it is without doubt a success that confirms the art of Japanese manufacturing.

It is true that the massive mango tree is excentric. There is also something modern about these ukuleles, the geometric and cubic shapes on the fingerboard and on the logo are certainly part of it. However, once in hand the sound is smooth and creamy, they sing traditionally well and are easy to learn thanks to an exceptional playability. The Rebel Ukulele brings a particular care to the manufacturing, and all the models that we received are always extremely well finished. In terms of playability, it has a slightly wider nut (36mm) and a thinner neck profile, which is a real pleasure to play. With this model, Flight offers us a singing soprano perfect for strumming with an exceptional quality/price ratio.
