The solid mango wood used has a different appearance to that of the standard version, with an exotic look and variations in the wood grain that are reminiscent of a multitude of tiny caterpillars criss-crossing each other, which is very pleasing to admire. The solid spruce top tempered by the laminated mahogany back and sides creates a sound that is not only bright and punchy, but also rounded with warmth.  A flat profile neck, compensated saddle for accurate intonation, fluorocarbon strings and a deluxe bag. The Iris is at least as good as the famous premium model from which it was loosely based.
