Its sopranissimo size makes it the perfect travel companion: lightweight, compact, and always ready to play. Despite a 34 mm nut width, it remains surprisingly comfortable and easy to handle. In standard tuning (GCEA), it produces a beautiful, warm, and balanced tone. But it’s when you tune it up a tone or even two that it reveals its true personality: it sings more, with greater projection and volume, for a lively and expressive sound. The sopranino and sopranissimo sizes are currently very popular; we’ve noticed the trend, so stay tuned because we’ll be adding more of these sizes to our catalog.

The tone is soft and woody, and the sound is surprisingly loud considering its size. The sound is balanced, not too high-pitched, and pleasant for both strumming and picking. However, the very short neck and closely spaced frets can quickly become awkward for complex chords or long sessions.  A beautiful, charming musical instrument to have in your travel collection.

The high-gloss finish brings out the wood grain, and the unique pineapple-leaf head shape adds even more fun to the instrument. It's easy to play, but the mini scale length makes it an ideal travel companion, so you'll always have something to strum a few chords. To get the most out of it, you can either tune it a tone higher, to give it more pep, or switch to a set of GCEA strings but in a higher octave, like the Aquila mini-uke 94U.

Its spruce top and solid mahogany body deliver a lively, bright sound full of character. The sopranissimo size is ideal for staccato, fast, rhythmic playing; this is not the instrument to choose if you are looking for sustain or depth.  Ultra-compact, it fits in a handbag or carry-on luggage, perfect for travelling. The gloss finish and abalone inlays give it a stylish and unique look. With the original strings, the sound is much better when the instrument is tuned 1 tone higher (D mode: A–D–F#–B).
