CASA OPINION

Bakithi Kumalo is world-renowned as Paul Simon's bassist, but he's also an accomplished studio musician and composer.

As a proud supporter of the Kala U-BASS® for over a decade, he has designed his own Signature Acoustic-Electric U-BASS®, the perfect introduction to the U-BASS. A few personal touches stand out, like a black pickguard (what a great idea!), and the custom Zulu shield design on the headstock (so you're well protected!). Kala Round Wound U-BASS® metal strings equip this bass for a clean, modern sound. The preamp and piezo pickup system performs well.

Bakithi's U-BASS® Signature includes a custom gig bag and access to free online lessons and bass line breakdowns specifically designed for the U-BASS®, featuring Bakithi and some of his most famous bass lines. 100% validated
