The koa produces a full and rich sound in the upper midrange, and does not lack punch and volume. The instrument is incredibly light for a tenor, the body is not very deep and pleasant to play for long hours. It was warmly recommended to us by a customer, and after a first contact with them, we can say that we were delighted by the quality of the commercial exchanges, the professionalism and the seriousness.  Their instruments are just like them, a unique design and an irreproachable quality of manufacture, with a particular attention to the smallest details. All their ukuleles have an additional soundhole, for a surround effect that adds incredible volume and clarity for the player. All at a price that defies all competition! We sincerely believe that this can only be the work of enthusiasts. On this Koa S, the association between koa and spruce works wonderfully, the projection and the substain are enormous. the versatility is the key word of this ukulele, it will give you roundness and mellowness in melancholic arpeggios, and also pep's and dynamism for Hawaiian strumming!  With its 37 mm width at the saddle, it offers a very good playability. The pickup system is double and uses both a piezo under saddle and an internal pickup, this gives a better amplified sound with more possibilities. It also comes with a high quality padded carrying case. This is a premium instrument at an affordable price, and we are happy to offer this brand in France, so don't hesitate to come and try it.

The aim is clearly stated: to present instruments with a more vintage look and which stand out from their modern models with which they have revolutionized the ukulele market in recent years. However, the DNA of the manufacturer is well and truly there, and we find with delight, an excellent substain, a rich sound in volume with an incredible dynamic. A new fan-shaped bracing is fitted to this series, which brings out more of the harmonious midrange frequencies. It should also be noted that they are equipped with Gotoh UPT mechanics, which are extremely precise.  This RT5R model in Lemon Sunburst or Cherry Sunburst finish is the closest to the Moon Bird UT-200, with a solid "Swiss Moon" spruce top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides, all surrounded by the highest quality abalone and a brilliant varnish of the most beautiful effect. The sound is superbly crisp and clear, we hear the brightness of the spruce, softened by the darkness of the rosewood. There is a wonderful balance between the bass, midrange and treble. Every note rings like a bell, there is no doubt, you have in your hands a high end instrument, hand made by the luthiers of aNueNue, who once again have done a wonderful job.

The Rebel Custom Shop Alchemist Tenor PARTICULAR SIGNS  Tenor  Solid mango & spruce top   Solid koa back & sides   Mahogany neck   Ebony bridge & fingerboard  Ebony head plate  Gotoh Tuning machines  TUSQ® nut & saddles  The Rebel strings Low-G  Nut width : 38,05 mm   Ebony armrest  19 frets  Gloss finish  Deluxe gig bag included  Made in Thailand  CASA OPINION The luthiers in Rebel's custom shop must have had free hand to express so much creativity in the creation of these two models we've just received, so different and innovative are they. For this Alchemist model, Rebel's luthiers studied how woods and bracing patterns affect sound, and proceeded by trial and error, over and over again, just as a chef looks for a new taste in every dish he prepares. The process of making this ukulele was all about reaching the invisible - the Rebel sound. The image of "alchemists" slowly dawned on them, as they played an important role in the development of science in the early modern era, slowly moving the world forward, and were, in a way, the very first group of "rebels" the world had ever known. "It's a tribute to those who came before us. Those who enriched human knowledge, enabling us to make new discoveries. That's why the official name of this model is Alchemist". Their efforts have not been in vain: the sound is sumptuous, rich and deep, a ukulele to listen to. The Rebel gig bag is included, but we offer a hard case for added protection.his model is a limited edition, produced in just a few copies, so don't wait too long.

Experts rank these ukuleles among the best on the planet, and we've never had so much pleasure playing a solid koa ukulele. Production of Koaloha ukuleles began in 1995, handcrafted, one by one, in Honolulu, and although they have undergone improvements over time, they still sound with the same signature: a tone rich in harmony, warmth and luminosity. In the hands, it's very pleasant, extremely light and well balanced. The build quality is obvious, and you know you're playing a top-quality ukulele.
